Editorial Policy

This site makes money from affiliate commission. An operator pays us when a reader opens an account through a link here. That is a real conflict of interest and pretending otherwise would be the first dishonest thing on the page, so here is exactly how we handle it.

What commission does not buy

  • Position. Lists are ordered by the criteria on our how we rate page. They are never ordered by commission rate, and we do not accept payment for placement.
  • A score. Marks come from the six published criteria. No operator sees a review before it goes live and no operator can request a change to a score.
  • Silence. If an operator has a 200x wagering requirement, no live chat, or a pattern of complaints, that goes on the page. Several pages here lead with the worst thing about the operator.
  • A link. No page carries an outbound link until the licence has been verified on the regulator own register. Most of our casino pages currently carry no link at all, which means they currently earn nothing.

The verification gate

We do not link to an operator we have not checked. For bookmakers, that means finding the operator on the Revenue Commissioners register of licensed remote bookmaking operations. For casinos, it means confirming the stated licence on the issuing regulator own register.

Three of the seventeen bookmakers we cover are not on the Irish register. We say so on their pages and we do not link to them. That decision costs us money and we are comfortable with it.

Advertised against measured

Any figure taken from an operator is labelled as stated or advertised. A measured figure appears only when we produced it ourselves, and it is published with the date and method. We do not reprint an operator payout claim as though we had tested it.

Where a number is not published and we have not measured it, the page says not published. We leave gaps rather than filling them.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it on the page and say what changed. Our Casumo review previously said the sportsbook was unavailable in Ireland. Checking the Revenue register showed the operator licensed for casumo.com/ie, so we corrected the page and noted the correction on it.

If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will check it against a primary source.

How pages are dated

Every page that makes a factual claim about licensing or payouts carries the date we last reviewed it. A figure with no date attached is worth very little in this market, because terms change quietly and often.

Safer gambling comes first

We do not describe gambling as a way to make money, we do not use chasing language, and we do not market to people who have self excluded. Every operator page notes the safer gambling tools available, and weak tooling is treated as a mark against an operator rather than an omission.

You must be 18 or over to gamble in Ireland. Last reviewed 31 October 2026.
