bwin Review Ireland 2026

bwin is a long established European book covering more than 45 sports with live betting and streaming on selected matches. The betting product is strong. The support arrangement is not, and it is the thing to weigh before opening an account.

Irish licence: confirmed

ELECTRAWORKS LIMITED, trading as bwin, appears on the Revenue Commissioners list of current licensed remote bookmaking operations as at 30 June 2026, the register maintained under Section 8B of the Betting Acts 1931 to 2015. We checked this on 31 October 2026.

That licence covers betting. It does not cover online casino gaming, so any casino attached to this brand is regulated elsewhere.

The support gap

bwin provides an FAQ and a set of video guides, but no live chat and no email support. For a bookmaker holding customer funds that is a real problem. If a bet settles wrongly or a withdrawal stalls, a help article is not a resolution route, and every other licensed operator on this list gives you a person to contact.

Sports and markets

More than 45 sport categories: football across the major European leagues, Gaelic football and hurling, horse and greyhound racing, tennis, cricket, boxing, rugby and basketball. Esports covers Dota 2, League of Legends and CS2. Novelty markets include politics and Eurovision. The live betting section has a usable event calendar.

Payments and withdrawal times

Google Pay, Apple Pay, Mastercard, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard and bank transfer. bwin does not publish clear withdrawal times method by method, and Mastercard is listed as only partially supported for withdrawals. We are not going to invent the numbers, and we have not timed a withdrawal ourselves.

Key features

Live streaming at good quality on selected matches, and cash out across many bets.

Mobile

Polished mobile site plus apps on iOS and Android.

Safer gambling

Deposit limits, budget calculators, video guides and self exclusion. Note that with no chat or email, acting on any of these beyond the self service tools will be slower here.

Where this review stands

Irish licence confirmed. Terms and a timed withdrawal outstanding, so no score yet. The support gap is already a mark against it.
